Abstract

Social-emotional development (SED) is one of the important educational goals in preschool education, especially for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). SED is a fundamental ability that helps preschool children develop communication skills, cooperation and integration into the social environment. Children with ASD aged 5-6 often have many limitations in identifying, expressing and regulating emotions, leading to difficulties in learning and interacting. A survey at 10 inclusive preschools in Hanoi with 58 teachers and 35 ASD children showed that the level of SED development of children was only average; in which, positive emotional expressions such as joy and excitement were more clearly expressed, the ability to control negative emotions and cooperation skills with friends were limited. Although teachers and parents are aware of the importance of this area, they still lack specific orientation and measures. From that practice, the study proposes 7 measures to develop CXXH through role-playing games according to the theme, suitable for the psychological characteristics of children and the conditions of inclusive preschool education, which have practical significance in improving the quality of care and education of children with autism spectrum disorder.
