Abstract
Pressed cake, a famous specialty of Thuan An, is an integral part of the unique culinary culture of the ancient capital, Hue City. The trade of Thuan An pressed cake plays an important role in various aspects of the economy, society, and human wellbeing. However, local authorities have not given sufficient attention to the preservation and development of Thuan An pressed cake. In particular, during the period of digital transformation, while registering a collective trademark to protect the rights of owners and members, as well as to boost the local economy, several challenges remain. This article examines and evaluates the potential for protecting and exploiting the collective trademark of Thuan An pressed cakes, considering both the positive and limited impacts of digital transformation. Based on this analysis, the article proposes solutions to enhance the effectiveness of collective trademark registration for Thuan An pressed cake during the digital transformation period, contributing to increased product value and the protection of the interests of pressed cake producers and traders.
