Abstract
Juveniles who have completed their prison sentences and returned to the community often face significant challenges in reintegrating into society. These challenges include a lack of opportunities for education and employment, as well as limited skills and qualifications, making it difficult to meet societal needs. Currently, Vietnamese law lacks specific regulations and targeted policies for community reintegration activities, especially for juveniles who have completed their sentences. Additionally, difficulties related to funding, human resources, and facilities hinder the effectiveness of these activities. Recognizing this as a critical issue, it is important to focus on providing adequate support to help these individuals correct their mistakes, develop their potential, and avoid recidivism. This article aims to assess the current state of the law, examine the legal practices surrounding community reintegration for juvenile offenders in Thua Thien Hue Province, and propose solutions to enhance the effectiveness of these activities, thereby facilitating the reintegration process for juveniles after they complete their prison sentences
