Abstract

The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods 1980 (CISG) is considered an international treaty with very important substantive rules directly regulating international sales contracts, contributing to unifying and improving the quality of law application in dispute resolution. The application of CISG in Vietnamese Courts and Chinese Courts has many similarities and differences in terms of the number of cases resolved by applying CISG accounts for a low proportion; lack of documents guiding the application of CISG; lack of legal basis on the principle of direct application of CISG; lack of arguments in judgments... The results of the research article aim to propose a number of recommendations to promote the application of CISG in Vietnamese Courts.
