On language, form, drafting techniques, and translation of legal normative documents into minority languages and foreign languages under the 2025 Law on Promulgation of Legal Normative Documents

Abstract

The Law on Promulgation of Legal Normative Documents of 2025 (amended and supplemented in 2025) sets out new requirements aimed at enhancing the quality and transparency of the legal document system. In particular, the Law strictly regulates the language used, document formatting, and drafting techniques, while permitting and encouraging the translation of legal documents into ethnic minority languages and foreign languages for dissemination, with translations serving only as references. To ensure the effective implementation of these provisions, the article analyzes the content of the legal regulations and provides illustrative examples of practical application, thereby proposing several professional and technical measures to guarantee that the regulations are effectively enforced in the coming period.
