Gong culture of Co-ho people in Lam Dong province in international integration trend.
Abstract
This research was conducted in Lam Dong province with quantitative and qualitative surveys. The sample size of the quantitative survey is 477 and all interviewees are Co-ho from and above 18 years old, living in Lac Duong town, Lac Duong district, and Ta Nung commune, Da Lat city. The qualitative survey consists of 26 in-depth interviews and secondary data analysis. The findings of this research illustrate the condition of the preservation and development as well as challenges and opportunities of Gong culture of Co-ho people in the integration and urbanization processes. These findings are also scientific evidence for solutions to preserving and promoting the ethnic cultural identity of the Co-ho people specifically and ethnic minority groups in the Central Highland in general.
