Roles of the Village Head and Prestigious People in Building New Rural Areas in Ethnic Minority Region of Bac Kan Province

Abstract

In the history of development of Vietnam’s each ethnicity, the infuence of village elders, lineage and village heads has spread not only in a family, lineage but also over the whole surrounding community and society. These people have had an important role in the local social life, as the support of authorities at all levels in mobilizing people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State’s law of economic development and new rural area construction in the mountainous area of Bac Kan province
