Kinship in Household Economic Life of the Tay People Since Renovation (1986) up to Present (Case Study in Quang Lang Commune, Chi Lang District, Lang Son Province)

Abstract

The writing investigates into the role of kinship in household economic life of the Tay people in Quang Lang commune, Chi Lang district, Lang Son province since Renovation (1986) up to present. The finding of investigation indicates that at present, lineages still have played an important role in socio-economic life of the Tay people. Yet, in the condition of that the household economy has transformed in direction of diversification of economic activities and speed up commodity production, a number of mutual helps of lineages in production have changed. Although kinship still has played the role as an important social resource, it cannot meet all the demands of household economic development in a new condition.
