The writing introduces the steps of the furneral of the Tay people in Po Cai village in the past as in present through which it indicates the rules of behaviour of the living towards the dead. The investigation into the funeral of the Tay people in this village shows the spiritual, humane, and cultural values of the Tay people. Especially, in the context of current cultural exchange and integration among ethnicities, the funeral of Tay people in Po Cai has undergone changes. Yet, the ethnic cultural elements through the social network in funeral of the Tay people (such as associations, groups, mutual help) still have brought into play their role and function, which help the Tay people share difficulties with each other and link    them together.
