The trans-border marriage of ethnic peoples in Vietnam is one of the issues has attracted attention of many researchers and whole society in recent years. Through this research, trans-border marriage of the Hmong, Tai, and Nung peoples in Dien Bien and Cao Bang provinces has taken place since long time and has tended to increase. The trans-border marriage with its positive impacts has created many opportunities for economic and cultural exchange among countries, but it also hides many negatives, causes social problems which are needed to have appropriate solutions such as to women trafficking, illegal businesses, etc. Apart from those, the research also points out a number of pressing issues needed to be solved to contribute to stabilization of social security condition in the frontier region.
