Scientific Research and Achievements of Ethnic Studies of Thai Nguyen University of Education

Abstract

Through a review of ethnic studies at the Thai Nguyen University of Education, the author shows that: 1) Because there is not a balance between teaching and research time, teachers should only focus on teaching duties, so the research is scattered; few research monogaphies; rare works published in book form; 2) graduation thesis and dissertation make up the most of the research, and there is some duplication of research directions, and 3) there is an imbalance in the study of each and different ethnic groups. The statistics of the ethnic studies at the Thai Nguyen University of Education provide an overview of the research content, and of the ability to identify, limit and solve problems, as well as set the next directions for the ethnic studies and guide the students to study science.
