Biến đổi nghi lễ vòng đời của dân tộc Chứt ở Bắc Trung Bộ hiện nay

  • Nguyễn Văn Mạnh

Tóm tắt

Chut people consist of Ruc, Sach, A rem, May and Ma lieng    sub-ethnic groups living mostly in the Northwestern mountainous areas of Quang Binh province with a population of about 6,000 people. Today, there are changes in the Chut ceremonies of life cycle (such as childbirth, marriage, funeral ceremonies) towards acquiring new and modern objects and gradually dropping many cultural traditions. These cultural changes have a doubled-sided effect on the economic life for Chut. Reasons for this include cultural exchanges and impacts from governmental policies. To help the local people adapt to the current, changing environment, it is important to enhance their educational level and their material and spiritual life in combination with good propaganda, as well, to create a good condition for them to expand their relationship with other ethnic groups.
