The Institute of Anthropology was established in 1968. Over the past 45 years, the Institute has made ​​significant contributions to research, training and scientific consultancy. For the period from 2013 to 2020 and for its 2030 vision, the strategic objectives of the Institute are to continuously maintain its position as the leading national anthropological/ethnological research agency, develop quantative and qualitative working teams, publish many valuable scientific works, and promote cooperation with different national and international organizations. To accomplish these objectives, the Institute of Anthropology needs to center on ethnic studies, improve the professional competency and foreign language proficiency of its scientific staff, and develop the scientific management.
