The Da But people and the environment of Thanh Hoa share a unified relationship with the ecosystem of the Ninh Binh delta. They adapt to the environment and influence it. During the early establishment of Da But community, an original village split into two villages. After facing alteration to marine life by the substance Holocene, the Da But people had to move to the high mountain edge, then establish seven new villages. Changes in residential location, increase in number of villages, and reduction of the village size led to cultural division.
