The vocal music of the Bo Y includes folk songs which are sung every day and in rituals and ceremonies. The instrumental music of the Bo Y originally consisted of many different types. At present, the Bo Y people have maintained the kettledrum and cymbals that were originally, and continue to be, used in worshiping rituals. Although the folk music of the Bo Y has been changed, it has not been absorbed into other main stream music.
