Abstract

Taking the funeral rites among Mulao people as an example, this paper tries to explore the underlying meaning of the Mulao people’s funeral rites, which, to some extent, helps Mulao natives to endure emotional stress. It describes Mulao natives’ understanding of the relationship between the living and the dead as well as their understanding of the world beyond.
