Mâu thuẫn giữa Nhà nước và người dân trong thu hồi quyền sử dụng đất ở Việt Nam: Vấn đề phương pháp nghiên cứu thực địa
Tóm tắt
An anthropological research can be divided into three steps: the first step is to select a research topic, analyze relevant literature and develop a research proposal; the second is to conduct fieldwork; and the third is to further analyze relevant literature and write up research findings. How to conduct the second step efficiently? In Vietnamese anthropology, thus far, ethnographic methods and techniques have not been properly discussed and analyzed. This paper therefore analyzes which and in what ways methods and techniques have been used to conduct fieldwork in one project, with the main argument being that research methods and techniques should not be used in the exact same way for all researchers, on all topics, and in all field sites, contexts and periods of time. This means that researchers need to select proper methods and techniques for a specific topic, space, time and ethic group and apply them with creativity and flexibility in order to collect information, analyze documents, and present research findings. The selection and utility of methods and techniques during fieldwork might also need adjustment to meet changes during this process
