The article consists of 3 parts mentioning about status of training and fostering staff and civil servants of ethnic minorities in Vietnam. In the first point, the author analyses statistical data of status of staff and civil servants of ethnic minorities at 3 levels of province, district and commune in terms of gender structure, age, knowledge, career profession, political arguments and administrative management. Part 2 deals with requirements, tasks and contents of training and fostering staff and civil servants of ethnic minorities in the new period. Proposals and recommendations are mentioned by the author in part 3.
