Tho people have settled down for a long time in the west of Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces. In traditional society, there existed a lot of special handicrafts such as knitting and weaving household utensils. Such products not only met the requirements of family use but also preserved their cultural symbols. In the face of deteriorated handicrafts nowadays, the author proposed that the State should issue policies to help Tho people restore and develop their traditional handicrafts.
