EVALUATION OF SELECTED QUALITY CHARACTERISTICS OF SIRO YARN AND SIRO SLUB YARN

Abstract

This paper presents the research results research on some qualitive criterations of Siro yarns and Siro Slub yarns such as dry weight, tensile strength, number of -30% thin places, number of +50% thick places. The yarns researched are 100% Cotton, include 83% USA Cotton and 17% India Cotton. The experiments were performed to Slub yarns, Siro Slub yarns in pairs with the same yarn counts Ne7, Ne12, Ne16. The experimental results showed that: the dry weight of Siro yarns and Siro Slub yarns is almost the same; the number of thin places and thick places of the yarn influence the tensile strength of yarn. The results of the experiment will help to adjust the technological parameters of the ring spinning machine to control the weight, the number of thin places and thick places of the yarn to produce yarns according to qualitive requirement of customers.
