Student start-up opportunities and challenges at the universities and colleges in the Mekong delta

Abstract

This study was conducted with the goal of providing an overview of opportunities and challenges in the entrepreneurial process of students at universities and colleges in the Mekong Delta. From there, propose solutions to take advantage of opportunities and minimize challenges for students when starting a business, contributing to enhancing the role of students in the development of the economy in the Mekong Delta. and the whole country. Research results show that entrepreneurial opportunities for students include: diversity of occupations and fields; natural resources; network of businesses and start-up support organizations; promote social enterprise; Information technology and creativity. Besides opportunities in start-up activities, students also face many difficulties and challenges from competitors; investment; business experience and knowledge; Legal and administrative, these challenges have also directly impacted the entrepreneurial process of students.
