Abstract

In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, competition among firms in the hospitality sector is quite fierce, therefore businesses must enhance their operational efficiency, including employee job performance. However, research on this topic in Vietnam has not been thoroughly conducted, so this study aims to examine the factors affecting employee job performance. The study also explores the moderating role of individual characteristics (age, gender, and position) on the relationship between perceived supervisor support and job performance, which constitutes the novelty of this research. The results of PLS-SEM analysis based on data from 322 employees show that perceived supervisor support, employee satisfaction and commitments to the organization exert positive impacts on job performance. Managerial implications derived from the findings offer valuable guidance for managers seeking to improve job performance in the hospitality industry.
