Policies to promote electric vehicle development in the US and applicability in Vietnam

Abstract

To increase the use of electric vehicles, all relevant factors in terms of society, policy, technology and infrastructure development need to be considered. In this paper, based on information about electric vehicle support policies in the US and factors affecting the purchase of electric vehicles in China, our proposal was to apply in Vietnam at the same time the following measures: Raising consumer awareness, financial support and clear policies, implementation roadmaps from the government to encourage electric vehicles and limit gasoline vehicles.
