Influencing factors to startup intention in the 4.0 era of students of the Faculty of Economics of Nam Can Tho University
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the factors that influence students' intention to start a business in the 4.0 era at Nam Can Tho University's Faculty of Economics. The study also aims to propose recommendations to promote and encourage students' entrepreneurial intentions in this era. Building upon previous research, the author has developed a suitable research model for the current environment. Primary data was collected through a survey of 245 third-year students from the Faculty of Economics in April 2024. The results of the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and multiple regression analysis demonstrated the level and direction of influence of each factor on students' startup intentions. The factors that have a strong and positive influence on startup intention include motivation, the startup environment, attitude towards startups, startup education, perceived capacity, and state policies.
