Solutions for Training High-Quality Nursing Workforce to Meet the Market Demand in Japan and Other Countries in the Current Context

Abstract

Objectives: This study analyzes the demand for nursing personnel in Japan and other countries, as well as the ability of Vietnamese labor to meet this demand within the framework of international cooperation.

Methodology: A literature review was conducted to analyze workforce trends in the healthcare sector in Japan and related policies supporting foreign labor. The study also evaluates the current state of nursing workforce training in Vietnam.

Results: Japan's demand for nursing professionals is rapidly increasing due to an aging population, leading to policies that attract foreign labor, including Vietnamese workers. However, Vietnamese nursing personnel face challenges in language proficiency, cultural adaptation, and professional skills.

Conclusions: To meet the growing demand for nursing personnel in Japan and other countries, Vietnam must enhance its training programs, strengthen language skills, and improve clinical practice for healthcare workers. Policies supporting labor adaptation abroad are essential.
