Tóm tắt

Objective: To describe the level of self-efficacy in clinical skill practice among nursing students at Viet Duc Medical and Equipment College and identify related factors.

Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 54 third-year nursing students using the Nursing Care Self-Efficacy Scale (NCSES), which had been translated and validated. Data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0, employing descriptive statistics and t-tests to identify associations between self-confidence levels and related factors.

Results: The students' average self-efficacy score was 7.85 ± 1.1, corresponding to the "Confidence" level. Basic techniques such as vital sign measurement (9.67 points) had the highest confidence scores, while complex techniques like cardiopulmonary resuscitation (5.35 points) showed lower confidence levels. Active participation in discussions, diligent participation in clinical sessions, encouragement from lecturers and appropriate teaching methods had a positive impact on students' confidence levels (p<0.05).

Conclusion: The study emphasizes the role of clinical practice, instructor guidance, and a supportive learning environment in enhancing nursing students' self-efficacy.
