Based on a general overview of pedagogical competence, the distinctive characteristics of and the necessity for developing pedagogical competence among lecturers in the social sciences and humanities at military educational institutions, this article focuses on analyzing the key aspects of this development, including its nature, objectives, subjects, content, and methods.
