Abstract

The August Revolution of 1945 was one of the greatest victories in the history of the Vietnamese nation, ushering in an era of national independence and socialism. Its success resulted from the combined effect of multiple factors, among which the Party’s and President Ho Chi Minh’s art of organizing and employing forces played a particularly important role. Studying the lessons drawn from this historic event has practical significance for building an all-people national defence and people’s security, as well as for building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Vietnam People’s Army today.
