Abstract

Organizing a counteroffensive campaign against the enemy’s airborne forces in military district defensive operations is an artful, flexible, and creative combat activity conducted by the military district command, its staff agencies, and the forces participating in the campaign, aimed at preventing the enemy, inflicting heavy attrition and casualties, destroying individual elements of the enemy’s airborne forces, defeating the enemy’s airborne assault method, maintaining control of key target areas and strategically important areas, and creating favourable conditions for the development of the military district’s defensive operations.
