Abstract

Offensive campaigns play an important role in strategic defensive operations, with the aim of destroying an important part of the enemy’s forces, recovering key areas, objectives, and locations, and creating favourable conditions for maintaining the defensive posture of the theatre of operations. To defeat the enemy and achieve victory, a campaign must undertake various forms of support; among them, chemical support is an important component aimed at effectively preventing and countering, and minimizing losses caused by the enemy’s weapons of mass destruction, thereby contributing to defeating the enemy’s combat activities and maintaining key areas and objectives and strategically important locations.
