THE PRESERVATION AND PROMOTION OF TAC XINH DANCE IN THE CONTEMPORARY CULTURAL LIFE OF THE PEOPLE OF SON DONG, BAC GIANG
Abstract
The
Tac
Xinh
folk
dance
of
the
San
Chay
ethnic
minority
(also
known
as
San
Chi)
in
Son
Dong
district,
Bac
Giang
province
is
a
traditional
dance
that
has,
to
this
day,
preserved
the
essence
and
spirit
of
the
local
ethnic
culture.
This
dance
has
been
recognized
as
a
national
intangible
cultural
heritage.
The
preservation,
safeguarding,
and
promotion
of
the
Tac
Xinh
dance
in
Son
Dong
is
a
meaningful
endeavor
‑
not
only
does
it
conserve
a
valuable
cultural
heritage
of
the
San
Chay
people,
but
it
also
opens
up
opportunities
for
local
development.
By
integrating
traditional
cultural
values
with
tourism
development,
this
dance
will
remain
an
enduring
part
of
the
San
Chay's
cultural
legacy,
contributing
to
the
richness
and
diversity
of
Vietnamese
culture
in
the
context
of
globalization
and
development.
