THE MUSIC OF THE LY – TRAN DYNASTY IN KINH BAC

Abstract

n Pre-Ly dynasty, Vietnamese music was still in its infancy with the main instruments of the bell, drum, harp, instrument of ivory and cork flute. Target users and applications are limited. According to the historical flow, music of Ly - Tran dynasty has prospered with many achievements with historical marks. The improved, richer set of instruments is widely used among the general public. This is also the period of the musical interference with Chiem Thanh and Chinese culture. The music achievements has not only included the creation of new musical instruments but also been the starting point of many folk games and new art forms. The study has made by national documents and research of historical objects in Bac Ninh (Kinh Bac).
