LITERARY THEORICAL PRINCIPLES - THE NEEDED CHANGES UNIVERSITY TEXTBOOKS

Abstract

In the Departments of Literature and Language Studies at colleges and universities in Vietnam, the subject of Literary theorical principles is considered to be fundamental principle in the field of literary theory. Nowadays, literature and art are growing in the situation of globalization. However, the system of our curriculum has not been updated which is only at the level of the 90s of the twentieth century. The presentation covers the following issues: 1. The inadequacies in assignment and establishment of literary principles in curriculum at Vietnamese university. 2. The rapid change of practice, creativity and methodology. 3. Towards establishing the criteria system - the new literary principles that conforms to the practice of composing and cultural orientation.
