Abstract
Objectives: To evaluate the level of experience and analyze the factors influencing the outpatient experience during MRI scans.
Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 230 outpatients aged ≥18 years who were scheduled for non-contrast MRI at Quang Ninh Provincial General Hospital.
Results: The waiting time was 57.1 ± 45.1 minutes, and the scanning time was 8.8 ± 2.4 minutes. The overall experience score was 4.2 ± 0.7, with 87.9% of patients feeling satisfied or very satisfied. The experience scores for staff guidance and explanation were 4.6 ± 0.5, patient positioning achieved 4.4 points, lighting 4.3 points, temperature 4.2 points, and noise level 3.7 points (p < 0.0001). The willingness of patients to undergo MRI again if medically necessary was 98.7%. The certainty of returning and recommending MRI at the hospital to others was 61.3%.
