Cultural responses to the natural environment of the coastal residents in Binh Dinh
Abstract
Humans exist in the natural environment, the relationship between humans and nature is a fundamental aspect of cultural life. Each cultural region in our country is formed in a unique natural environment along with the unique creativity of the cultural subject. In this article, the author explores how coastal residents adapt to the natural environment from the perspective of cultural ecology through the typical case of Binh Dinh province to clarify the advantages and difficulties of the natural environment here (specifically the
marine environment). On that basis, the article recognizes the natural environment as one of the factors creating strength for development and thereby, raising the necessity of building a sustainable development strategy for coastal areas in Binh Dinh.
