Process for designing course exams to meet learning outcomes at Hoa Lu University
Abstract
Assessing and evaluating course modules to meet learning outcomes (LOs) is one of the key requirements for ensuring quality in teaching and quality assurance in a training program (TP) at a higher education institution. However, many lecturers currently do not fully recognize the importance and process of designing course exams that align with learning outcomes. When assessments and evaluations are designed according to a scientifically based process that ensures certain principles, it enhances the quality of both student learning assessment activities and the academic program as a whole. This article addresses the theoretical and practical foundations and proposes a process for designing course exams at Hoa Lu University to meet the learning outcomes of the academic program.
