The current situation of state management of sustainable poverty reduction for ethnic minorities in Dak Nong province
Abstract
The article uses secondary data collected from the People’s Committee and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Nong province. The statistical method is used to describe the poverty reduction situation in Dak Nong province based on the results of the review of poor households according to the poverty line in the periods 2016-2020 and 2021-2025 as well as the current situation of the state management of sustainable poverty reduction for ethnic minorities. Findings showed that the number of ethnic minority poor households is decreasing but still accounts for a high proportion compared to the total number of poor households in the province. The state management of sustainable poverty reduction in Dak Nong province is carried out synchronously. Poverty reduction policies basically meet the needs of ethnic minority poor households. The proposed solution focuses on policies supporting for ethnic minority poor households, improving the capacity of staff working on poverty reduction, prioritizing capital allocation for districts with a high rate of ethnic minority poor households, effectively implementing poverty reduction programs and projects in localities, strengthening the inspection of poverty reduction implementation.
