Evaluation of the performance of sprayed coating from ceramic system Al2O3 - TiO2

Abstract
Plasma spray technology is widely used for the deposition on special material to obtain the thermal barrier or wear resistance coating from system Al2O3 - TiO2. Although this coating is distinguished by super-performance in comparison with the traditional materials such as alloyed steel or hard alloy, its quality also depends on the technology parameters. This paper focuses on the methodology of the evaluation of the performance of the spray coating in the dependence of changing technology parameters aiming for setting the optimal technology to improve the quality of the material and enhance the efficiency of this technology in the industry.
