In the context of international integration and educational innovation, enhancing the quality of the English teacher workforce has become an urgent requirement. This article examines the fundamental concepts of teacher professional development, the demands of innovative English teaching, and the content of developing the junior high school English teacher workforce in response to educational innovation. This contributes to improving the quality of English teaching and learning in junior high schools
