Fulfillment Warehouses in E-commerce: Current Situation and Development Solutions in Vietnam

Abstract

In the context of the rapid development of e-commerce, the demand for efficient logistics systems and warehouse management has become increasingly important for businesses. Fulfillment warehouses are considered an effective solution for optimizing order processing in e-commerce. This system integrates various activities such as goods storage, order processing, packaging, and delivery to customers. This paper analyzes the role of fulfillment warehouses in the e-commerce supply chain. It also evaluates the current development of the fulfillment warehouse model in Vietnam. Based on this analysis, the study identifies several limitations and challenges in the implementation of this model. Accordingly, a number of solutions are proposed to improve the operational efficiency of fulfillment warehouse systems. These solutions contribute to enhancing logistics efficiency and promoting the sustainable development of e-commerce in Vietnam.
