Building and developing the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan

As two countries situated in the Asian region, the relationship between Vietnam and Japan began very early, with cultural similarities, the exchange of interests, and political trust. Through many ups and downs associated with historical events and developments in each country as well as in the region and the world, the friendship between the two countries remains sustainable and has developed rapidly, becoming “Comprehensive Strategic Partners” of each other. Up to now, Japan is one of the leading important partners of Vietnam, and Vietnam is a key partner in Japan’s policy towards Southeast Asia. The two countries have made significant contributions to maintaining peace and security in the region and the world.
