Prospects for the promotion of Vietnam - India economic relations in the new context

Abstract

In the context of a highly volatile global economy, with growing risks of recession, heightened trade tension and U.S. tariff policies affecting India and Vietnam, it was imperative that the two countries develop mechanisms to strengthen their economies partnership. By using qualitative analysis and policy comparison methods, the paper showed how India and Vietnam have made efforts to broaden their trade portfolios and enhance structural complementarity in trade. Vietnam and India were increasingly emerging as promising markets for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). The paper affirmed that, the current context presents significant opportunities to deepen bilateral trade and investment in the coming years
