Tóm tắt

A thyroid storm is the most severe stage in the course of thyroid disease. It is classified as a state of thyroid decompensation that might risk the patient’s life, with a mortality rate ranging from 8 to 25% despite aggressive treatment. Clinical symptoms of thyroid types vary across organ systems. Supraventricular tachycardia is an atypical sign of thyroid illness. As a result, we would like to share a case of a 64-year-old female patient who was admitted to the hospital with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia and was managed by a narrow QRS complex tachycardia approach. The patient experienced serious problems, and a thyroid storm was detected at the time of admission with successful treatment. Supraventricular tachycardia is atypical sign of a thyroid storm and something that clinicians should be aware of.
