Digital transformation has brought profound changes in border gate management and border security protection in many countries. For Vietnam, the application of digital technologies in immigration management at border gates contributes to innovating management methods, reforming administrative procedures, enhancing transparency, and improving coordination among relevant agencies, while also effectively supporting defense foreign affairs tasks. This article clarifies the theoretical foundations and practical implementation of digital transformation in immigration management at border gates by the Vietnam Border Guard, and proposes several solutions to promote the modernization of border gate management, thereby improving the quality and effectiveness of defense foreign affairs in the new context.
