During the English learning process, students have to study four skills namely Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. In this article, the author analyzes the situation of English comprehension by majoring in first-year English students at Hanoi Natural Resources and Environment and the challenges that students encounter in the process of learning listening comprehension skills. On that basis, some solutions for lecturers to improve English listening comprehension skills for students are proposed.
