Training activities in universities always combine theory with practice through professional internships to contribute to improving quality and meeting social requirements. Saigon University currently offers multi-disciplinary and multi-field training, including Educational Management and Psychology under the Faculty of Education. Innovating the vocational internship mechanism for students in these majors is urgent in the current period. To innovate vocational training, it is basically necessary to clearly define the training objectives of the profession (or output standards) as a basis for innovation. The article briefly analyzes how to determine the output standards or professional competencies of university students from the perspective of analyzing the profession according to Competency as a basis for proposing content innovations professional internship for students of the Faculty of Education.
