In the process of teaching and studying communication skills of freshmen non-English majors at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, writing is always considered an important and difficult skill because good writing depends on many factors such as vocabulary, grammar, ideas as well as the ability to arrange information in the article coherently. Therefore, how to improve students’ writing skills always attracts the attention of writing skill teaching lecturers at university.
