This study evaluates the effectiveness of the ELSA Speak software in improving English speaking skills for English-majored students at Tay Nguyen University. The study focuses on exploring students’ awareness, usage frequency, and the benefits and challenges they face while using the software. By combining a survey of 100 students to collect quantitative data and in-depth interviews with 10 students to gain a deeper understanding of their personal experiences, the results show that ELSA Speak significantly helped students improve their speaking skills and communication confidence. However, some students still face difficulties in optimizing the use of the software due to limitations in resources and technical skills. The study proposes solutions to enhance the effectiveness of ELSA Speak and emphasizes the necessity of integrating technology into language education to achieve optimal learning outcomes.
