Academic advising plays a crucial role in higher education, particularly in supporting students’ comprehensive development in academics, soft skills, and career orientation. However, the academic advising system in Vietnam still faces significant challenges. This article analyzes the role of academic advising, evaluates existing limitations and proposes solutions to enhance the effectiveness of academic advising in the near future.
