IMPLEMENTING PROJECT-BASED LEARNING IN EFL CLASSROOMS: CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS OF TEACHERS AT PRIVATE PRIMARY SCHOOL IN CAN THO CITY
Tóm tắt
This study explores the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL) in a private primary
EFL classroom in Can Tho City, Vietnam. Based on interviews with five experienced teachers, it identifies
challenges and solutions across four domains: teacher, student, institutional-contextual, and sociocultural. Despite these dificulties, teachers adapted through self- study, peer collaboration, and creative
classroom strategies. The findings highlight the importance of professional development, institutional
support, and parent engagement. The study contributes to understanding how PBL can be effectively
integrated into Vietnamese EFL classrooms and provides actionable insights for educators, policy makers,
and curriculum developers seeking to promote student-centered language instruction in similar contexts.
